Sorry to here about the GP. I have a front bumper for a 97. It should work. All that's wrong with it is the pass corner was pushed in a little. A lady backed into the corner. Don't have any pics of it. You can have it, just pay for shipping. If not, no worries. Maybe it'll help save a few dollars.

i dont think im going back to the projectors. yeah, they looked good but i was never satisfied with paying 350$ and they shook like a girl with big cans running.for 350$ they shoulda been manufactured better. im probably going to buy the all black stock lights on ebay and put my old HIDs in them. i want to get a new hood, how do i make geico pay for that rather than a GM one? im thinking the SD hood with the dual scoops

Man that made my morning!! Thanks!!!

To answer your insurance question. That is something that probably you and your body shop might have to work out. I know for my car, with the SLP GTX Package on it. I have kept all my SLP recepits for the aftermarket stuff. And I checked with my insurance rep and asked him that very same question. He simply said as long as you have recepits to show the actual dollar value you paid for the parts in question, it would be covered.

Now for switching out the hood? This is where you and your body shop guy come into play. Most times you can have your body shop substitute parts for other ones. Some body shops will tell you they can only put on what the insurance company tells them to put, while this is true in most cases, there ways around it. Cause they are going to give you a check for the full amount to repair the vehicle and replace the broken parts, minus your $500 deductable.

From there with the leftover money, you and your body shop guy can figure out if there is a way to do other things with the car, ie the SLP hood or spoiler. But as I said earlier some places wont mess with that cause they have already been burned by Brand X Insurance company. You just have to shop it around and found the right shop to work with you. That's the hardest part of it all. Insurance companies make auto body repair shops life a ***** sometimes

    Opps almost forgot!!

I am glad too you are ok!! I hope they got the car that started this whole mess

I hit a deer with my car and knew the insurance guy pretty well (state farm). I took it to a bodyshop where my dad knew the owner and my cousin worked there so I told them what parts were aftermarket. I found a F1 hood for $300 locally and told them to throw that on there. I paid the $500 deductable and later got a check from insurance for $470 for I think clear corners and the cost of a stock hood? I never showed any receipts and never asked any questions about the check.. lol

Best thing is as long as it was a body part involved in the accident it got replaced, so I got the paintjob on the new hood for free.

No more top swap plans for me. Turbo eventually.

The only thing I don't like about the PRJs is how one of the front wires (#5 I think) is just barely long enough for the L36. The coils sit lower on the L36 than on the L67 so it's not as easy to make it clean. I'm installed a Plog and new x-over this weekend and I will work on it some more. Didn't feel like putting much effort into it when I'd be back in a week.
