seems to make sense though, like the filter is gasping in air in shorter bursts which sound like a rattlesnake at first, which increases with the rpms & tapers off into a roaring suction sound when the airflow & rpms are higher... idk, never heard anything like it before i took the airbox out... i'm not sure about the rattle, but the rest of it sounds great

edit: i might have a bad seal... i twisted the cone a bit, which seemed to help some with the rattling, but it's not gone. i'm gonna need to add some silicone sealant between the base of the cone and the connecting flange.
You were right man. I went out and retightened everything up and now you can only hear suction. Musta came a lil loose after drivin it. THANKS A LOT. I LOVE THIS FORUM, its so helpful. I appreciate it bud

well, weirdly enough, it stopped bothering me after a while & i never got around to sealing it up like i was going to. the "rattlesnake" sounded kinda intimidating or something... so i left it alone.

but it started bothering me again today so i just popped the hood & made some adjustments. gonna go pick up a burger & test it out.

btw, although i never got to it myself, i'm glad i could help you with the idea!

    &...

i believe you because i've heard elsewhere of that being a problem...... i would suggest removing & cleaning it, followed by replacing your intake with a dry one. search the forums about how to clean the MAF.

Yeah I did... Took the TB apart and cleaned everything including getting some MAF cleaner and sprayed the crap outta my MAF. Cleared everything then about a week later, light came back on. Guess Ill just be one of the many poor souls out there driving around a GP with with Check Engine light on.
FYI: I have seen no discernible issue in power or throttle response since i received the code. So, oh well.
    Infinity all around.
