    The little button you push to turn the key back is broke on my car. Is there a fix for this i cant find a replacement part anywhere. Ive been sticking a screw up there its a pita.

    Roll up a business card and jam it in there. I've been driving like that for over a year. A GM dealer can probably order the plastic plug that snaps in and looks like the plastic around it. Nobody notices the card and it stays in.
    All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

    if your using the release button, you got another issue to deal with. like a busted wire to the shiftier in the console.

    the part in the column is change able. get one from a junk yard, that way you learn how to take it out not on your car lol

    heres a vid to fix the stuck key issue you have. this maybe faster then fixing the part in the column lol

    you dont need new pins. if the wire broke off at the pin you can get a new plug from a junk yard and solder it in place of th eold one.

    thanks for all the replies.. my key never gets stuck I just cant turn the cylinder all the way back without putting up inside the steering column. Ill try the business card trick until I can get to the JY.

    thats called being stuck ya ding dong. fix the console wires.
