If this is in the wrong section, someone please move it.

I have a 1998 Grand Prix GTP (Supercharged) with no mods at all except the Transmission was replaced a couple months ago. Transmission was from a Buick Regal (Same transmission as the 1998 GTP)

I made a few videos while I was driving...Maybe one of you guys can tell me what might be the problem with my car. Engine? Transmission? Torque Converter? I don't know...

While I'm driving you can see the speed consistently increase (I never change pressure on the gas peddle), but the RPMs stay the same for a bit then rapidly jump up and the speed increase at a faster rate too.

You can see in all the videos it gets to 23000-2500 RPMs then Jumps about 500 RPMs.

If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. Don't mind the music playing in the background haha

10-11 seconds into the video it happens.

Ya but is it going from 2nd to 3rd then back to 2nd again? when Mine shifts at lower RPMs it usually only bumps up or down 500-700 Rpm.

    Thats what I was thinking
    2019 F150 XL - Make it run 12's N/A
    2012 F150 STX
    - Gonna be a race truck
    02 GT "Slowkar" 180k - Top Swap, Gen V, TOG Headers, 1.9s, e85, 3.25. It's literally the slowest e85 car ever....

Sorry, but that just doesn't make sense to me when the car is going faster not slower.

It will show TCC slippage on an 05' but it doesn't show it on my 04' PCM, so it can show it if it is there.

Or find a knowledgeable forum member locally to give you a hand. Probably work for booze. A buddy kept my liver pickled for weeks for the little bit of work I did. Saved him a ton of money over shop rate.

going off the first vid, it looks like 4 th gear is shot. put the car in 3 rd gear, get up past 45 mph and see if it still does that.
