this is a passenger side photo of the top part of the strut mount and its still bolted too the car... its got enough rust on it i can scrape some of it off with my finger nails, it is also missing some sort of rubber ring that the drivers side has. when i turn the wheel sometimes i get a groaning noise similar sound too what the strut mounts make when the bearings are bad in them, that is what the issue probably is.
