So I was thinking of taking off the resonator delete in my 2007 grand prix gxp, I am not very mechanically inclined, where would I take it to get that done? What would it run me? Is there a down side to it?

    Rasp.

    You dont want that.

Buy some muffler if you want to change the sound.

Muffler/Exhaust shops can do all this for you, they must be welded on.

Not too familiar with the GXPs but I know that as a general rule of thumb deleteing the res is not a good idea.. Makes the v6 cars sound like poopy. I am not real sure about the V8 but I will still suggest replaceing the res with a glasspack...

Meh, stock res is better than a glasspack, glasspack res wont really help change any sound, its just the cheap way to fix a broken res.

Stock sounds the best. I deleted my res after it was about to fall off lol. So I have no res or cat on the stock mufflers and my roomies like how it sounds, I'm getting there.

He is a GXP sandman. So some good mufflers will make it sound good.

DOnt buy a whole exhaust system, they are a waste of money. Get some magnaflow or flowmaster mufflers, or even borla or corsica mufflers.

My friend, you'd have to prove that.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

    Ohhhhhh lol

Yea just buy the mufflers/tips you want then get an exhaust shop to do the piping. You'll save a bunch of cash.

    LS4 yes.

    L32 no.

We know...don't lie...resonator less 3800's sound awful, been there done that. ESPECIALLY with stock mufflers. Sounds like a cat getting choked out by Becca.

I will agree, yes late and yes res delete sounds bad!! LOL I have a magnaflow cat, res delete, dumping into two blowmasters. Idle I LOVE how my car sounds, but that's about it.. Lower RPM's have a bad raspy sound. get above 2500-2700 RPM's and it mellows out some.

I'm debating on what to put back on it because something needs to be done, drone at highway speeds put me to sleep (good for the kids and wife, but not the driver..)
