Also...youtube and search are your friends.

Keep the resonator...if you want sound...get different mufflers. It isn't a V8...it doesn't growl, it sounds like crap. Trust me.

Well, your car will definitely get louder. I wouldn’t say it will “growl”.

Removing it will not cause a check engine light.

It wasn't a joke really. I google everything I don't know about before I ask questions.

Instead of telling you it sounds like crap, which it does, a better discription is more along the lines of multiple chainsaws runing at once. There not lying when they tell you to keep it. I didn't listen like you probably won't and about 2 months later found myself having one put back in. On the other end I swear it had better throttle response without out it but not worth the horrible horrible sound. I might be crazy and that whole throttle response thing might be in my head.

You probably thought it had better throttle response because it was louder...its a common thing. Louder always SEEMS faster...but it isn't. I thought I gained for real at least 15 horsepower cutting the muffler off of my Cobalt...but in fact...it gained nothing. LOL

If your going to remove the resonator...at least take the cat and U-Bend out too and put a glasspack in place of the resonator. A 28" Thrush or Cherry Bomb will work just fine.

The resonator on my car is taken out and there is a flowmaster hushpower II muffler where it used to be instead of two mufflers being in the back..I honestly dont think it sounds like crap and after listening to some exhausts on youtube id say my setup sounds pretty good. it has a really really nice deep grumble. i always get compliments on how it sounds.

Because they don't hear it at WOT...trust me...the resonator is what makes or breaks these cars...your car has rasp...you can't deny it.

Sounds good. Just curious to hear it since you say it sounds a lot better than most other GP cars you've heard and got compliments on it.
