^^^fuel injector could be an issue if its slightly clogged. i would just dump some techron fuel injector cleaner in there and maybe change the fuel filter if you havent recently. see if it helps. are you getting a check engine light?

were the spark plugs and plug wires replaced as an attempt to fix your #3 misfire or did the misfire occur after installation of the new parts? Exactdy what was missing from the spark plug? Was it the end that goes into the spark plug wire boot or the end that goes into the engine?
yea the check engine light comes on but its not like its running real rough at idle just a little rough but while driving runs great
swap the icm I just did one of these a week ago when it went out on the 98 GT my brother in law got and we threw a trans in it total cost for the car 950ish dollars and its in better shape than mine.
Seems more like icm problem to me than an injector esp if it drives fine around town otherwise just crappy idle, Id think the idle sounds like spark problem.
IIRC oreillys and most other stores should be able to check an ignition control module
ok thanks its got a wierd smell but there is a exhaust leak right after cat
Clogged cat then?
Smell like rotten eggs?
not really maybe a little bit would a cat make it misfire on one cylinder?
IM NOT A SHE AND THEY WONT LET ME CHANGE MY NAME.... but the new one is ok still no damage
toast a valve or something geezus christ people dont you read the thread !? it runs fine except at idle!
Cmon this cant be that hard I still say its ICM or at the very least ignition system related its throwing a misfire code lol why would the code lie to you!
it had a radom misfire then i changed plugs and wires then i got a code for number 3 misfire so i changed coil pack but still there
A piece of electrode may have gotten caught between a valve and its seat. I personally have never sean it happen in the 25 years I've been doing this...but I have heard of it.
There may still be a problem with the valve train like a sticky guide or a bent valve. I have seen this happen but it is usually accompanied by some noises in the top of the motor. I don't know if this is common on the 3800.

it was damage but not sure if it happened when it fell down the front of the motor it doesnt burn any oil and its only a misfire at idle
