so far i got around $800 for top swap . headers $250, cam $325. thats roughly $1375. on top of that, a new transmission, $1500. so $2875. 3.4 pully with additional supporting mods, and a tune

here i got hv3-$200, gt cam $325 headers $250, shift kit $40. roughly comes out to $815, and i get to keep my transmission. and possibly run low to mid 14s. and a tune

what do you think time would be ( quarter mile) for top swap setup.

Why are you worrying about times so much, just buy a gtp and pay as you go...

im not really. would like low 14s n/a. dont know where people are getting all this 2k to make it "faster". ill agree maybe 2k for a 11 or 12second n/a. but not for low 14s.
like you said, would be cheaper to buy a gtp, headers, intake, 180 tstat, tune, and a 3.4 pully.
but to top swap a n/a car, in my opinion, is not worth it. i would be happy with low 14 seconds and maybe addtional mods and break 13s

topswaping a gt gives more hp than a stock gtp. Due to the higher compression you get around 5% more hp. And spending 2k on performance parts isnt as hard as you think. All the stuff like fluids, tuning, and gaskets adds up quick. Cuz you dont just buy a cam. You need like 120 bucks worth of gakets. You dont just install a shift kit. You get fluid and a new filter too. And you need an intake gasket for the HV3. So cam install turns to 550, and shift kit gets closer to 100. Tune will be around 75 unless you do it yourself. even then you have to buy hpt for 300m, and credits are another 100.

A probable price breakdown for a high 13's N/A build:

CAI-depending if you do custom or true $100-200
    Ported L67 TB-about $150
    Hv3-$200
    Ported Lower Intake mani-$50-150 depending
SSAC or speed daddy headers- $300 including extra clamps, rtv, etc.
    Poly mounts everywhere- $100
    Shift kit- about $100 altogether
    GT2 cam-$400-500 including extra stuff
    Probably stage 2 heads- $1000
A good Custom tune-$ depending who you know or DIY free-$150
Either Slicks, or good street tires-$300-600
and weight reduction is mainly free but there you have it, about $2500 just to run 2 sec faster. Not really worth it. Some of my pricing may be off just a bit but you get the idea. And still didnt factor in spray which you may or may not need.
04 GTP-3.6 pulley, custom tuned, Intake, headers, thrush exhaust, al104 plugs, 180* stat, shift kit, flipped mounts

DIY tune would set you back 300-500 (used DHP/HPT).

    You have a 4t60?

Why have you not considered a used turbo kit and used 1.9 rockers?

    Theres 12's for 2K.

Transmission wont last long, but at that power level, even built transmissions wont last forever.
