Honestly man if your buying another GP i would just get a gtp get an intake, headers, and 3.5 pulley as a basic setup and run low 14s. orrr you could get another GT and spend $2k and run the same time.

Without boost these cars don't have much.

For less than the price of what you're looking at spending on that mod list, you can get a GEN V swap with headers and an XP cam on a 3.4 pulley with a tune and be running mid 13s.

So you are going to buy a car to mod and still be slow?

    what times are you running?
i agree itll be slow compared to some of you guys, but im not looking to impress you or be as fast as you.
and i could to this to my 97. but why do it with the 4t60.
i guess ill just buy a gtp and go with a 3.4 setup just like a good majority of you guys.

I don't intend for my car to be a race car.

Don't do things just to try to be different when certain things work. I see it in the 3000GT/Stealth world all the time. Kids come in saying they are gonna make their NA 3/s run 13's and blah blah this and blah blah that.

Thousands of dollars later a stock twin turbo is still faster than their modded NA's.

Stick with the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Even if you dump a ton of money into an N/A 3800, its still going to be slow and unreliable.

Whats up with people double posting and asking rhetorical questions about slow cars?
