pull the carpet up at the side and top of the floor where it goes up, there is foam under the rug that is up to 4 inches thick, it holds water for ever, and stinks. i lifted mine and propped it up with some tools and aimed a fan at it, and coated the carpet with baking soda, use a shop vac to vac it up, the soda can kill a regular house vac, or the car washes vac.
the water actually leaks from under the rug, and soaks threw to the top.
and there is a rubber plug/drain in the floor under the rug too, you can pull that and push water down the hole as well.
