I just bought a ported case and it has the two slits on the side epoxied shut, this is supposed to make the sc whine louder as well right? also howtough is it to change the needle bearings?

It was $10-12 each for me too, but I still don't understand...everyone seems to have an opinion on what oil and/or coupler to buy, but nobody seems to have any reason why. What makes the GM oil better than zzp oil? What makes the zzp coupler better than the ebay coupler? If money was no object I would just go with whatever everyone said, but I don't have a ton of cash laying around. I am looking for info on what makes one better than another, or why I should go with one over the other. If the zzp coupler is no better than the ebay coupler, why spend more to get that one? I would rather put the extra money into one of the many other things the car needs.
I bought the ebay coupler andit works fine and comes with allthe oil you need for around 35 shipped. The coupler is the same as the ZZP, it is made of the same material and is the same in every way!
ZZP is not fleabay.
You might very well NEED 8 fl oz.... not 6 like ZZP says. I just replaced my fluid yesterday.... took JUST under 8 fl oz and it wasn't bone dry, just held it upside down till i grew impatient.
With fleabay, you have NO idea what fluid you're getting.
Fleabay headers might be great but even those aren't that great... you need to make your own DP, replace the flex and trim the crossover. Easily another $100+ to add to your costs.
So why again am I recommending parts that I know work? Because I value my car.
but you stilll have the leaky flex and the goose neck.
To the guy with the slits filled shut...I hope you like chunks of metal in your engine.
I was asking a question have you personally blown an engine or know somone who has ? Information with smart... Statements like that would be helpful.
A few. The pieces get pushed out and into the motor. A couple intercooled guys have had the luxury of an IC under the blower and there are pics somewhere on here where the metal is sitting on the core.
That's good info this case came from glanzergtx and he was running it on his car. - have been running epoxied heads and intake for quite a while with no problems but I will prob remove the epoxy from these if there are reported cases of this happening. Thanks for the info man!
my s/c case was ported by reptile and the slits r filled with aluminum epoxy and they have been running that way for 20k+ miles and i have not had any problems at all. what it does is it makes u hear whien when your onyl about 1/2 throttle instead of only hearing it when you WOT. but at WOT it screamsid say just leave it
Just FYI I filled the slits on bryants case, reptile does not do that.
You thread the hole on the bottom side of the case and install a grease fitting then press them out with grease.
New ones can be pressed in.
if you look at the outlet side of your blower you'll see two holes just above the H bridge.
i have 0 leaks... the downpipe occasionally scrapes on ****... usually when im going a high rate of speed and hit a dip in the road making the suspension squat down pretty far... but its done this so many times in the past the bottom of that gooseneck is dented in and is now flat lol.
