napa or autozone or what ever store you have should carry a OPEN cone filter. Get one like this and they are only 25-40 bucks and they are dry filters too, so no oil and stuff like K&N.

or spend some money pull the supercharger off and take 1/4" off all sides of the triangle and put it back together, whines like crazy and reduces KR, just don't go overboard with it and tape up your needle bearings and it would be a good time to change your coupler if you got many miles on it.
and the tb...i ported all of them and once the hump in the tb was removed mine started whistling at high rpm...sounds either really wrong or really right buy i love it and if makes people look twice..still debating if those are impressed looks or sympathy looks though
Probably because you have a smaller pulley too...if not...then it isn't whining like crazy...trust me.
Nice! LOL.
I am doing a LIM this weekend, so I might as well grind a little on the blower while I am in there, but I am new at this so any more info is appreciated. What do you mean by 'tape up your needle bearings'? Where can you get a coupler, and what does that usually cost? Can you port on an otherwise stock car, or is this only for modified cars? Same with the open cone-is that only for modified cars or is it fine if this is the only mod so far? Will I need to replace anything else if I port (like the bearings, shafts, etc.)?
Click the link on my signature for mod info.
As for a louder blower...just hog out the outlet on the blower case...run a 4" piece of PVC pipe from the TB to the hole in the right side of the fender and put a filter there. Done...it'll make it whine like a b1tch.
So can you port the blower and do an open filter on an otherwise stock car? What does it mean to tape the needle bearings? What else will I need to do if I port the blower (Change fluid, bearings, etc.)? I have seen the triangle porting. Is that the outlet that I should port? Does the intake also need ported, and how do I do that? My car is currently all stock, but I plan to do some light mods over time. Also, what is the stock throttle body size? I have a 9 inch K&N with a 3 1/2 inch opening. Will that fit right up or will I need to get adapters?
what they mean is remove the rotors to port the supercharger tape them so shavings dont get into the bearings...i usually stuff a bunch of wett rags into the intake and intot the case of the supercharger so the metal flakes from the removal of metal dont get into the bearings on the supercharger...u can also just replace the needle bearings after the port which is a good idea in my eyes...yes you can do it on a stock car....if you remove the hump on the throttle body i suggest a tune but i dont think its needed. also itll become a pain to tune as it changes the air flow charactoristics across the maf....u will need to pull the snout off the supercharger so yes you will need fluid. goto a gm dealer of zzp for fluid...port both intake and outlet...remove the lower humps of the triangle and get shorter bolts if needed. also remove the mold marks around the triangles edge. you can make the triangle a little larger but dont go to far. sorry i dont know how much is too much though....open intake up and remove the groove in the inlet. pretty much just open her up a few mm and smoot it out real good....ill try and post pics..if you do the throttle body DO NOT DO ANYTHING NEAR THE THROTTLE PLATE AS THIS MUST SEAL CORRECTLY OR YOU WILL BE BUYING A NEW THROTTLE BODY!!!
