I'm to afraid to drive mine... LOL It's mildly built and right now I just want to look at it.. LOL If something breaks I'll be pissed.. (knowing my trans will, but I just need it to last a year!!!) I'll drive it down tomorrow to the exhaust shop to get my exhaust put on then work out the rest of the kinks... Still think I have a small vacuum leak.. :-/

Did we just thread jack this dudes thread?? LMAO

familyguy, if you have picker i would go out the top. i've done it both ways and the top with the engine and tranny is easier. no laying on the ground. picker does all the work. you'll have to unbolt the power steering pump and the ac condensor from the block if you don't want to lose fluid and fridgerant. front end sits on jackstands cause you have to take the axles out of the tranny. it all comes out pretty easily, though. mark all your vacuums and plugs. there are a lot of them. it took like two hours to get it all out from jacking the car up to finish. it will take longer if you've never done axles or changed motor mounts or unbolted the power steering pump-etc. cause you'll have to figure all that out.

This is really all you need. Although ... it helps if we tell you the search bar is at the top center of the screen. Click on the magnifiying glass.

From there.. you can find an engine pull, trans removal, engine and trans at once, ...heck most stuff.

I replaced mine for first time, didnt label anything, didnt need to. For the most part the engine harness can only lay out one way. Removing the trans with it I think is easier than just the engine. It's quite literally 2 connectors on the parking lever assembly, 1 at the top of the trans, pop the axles and remove either the 4 bolts on the side of the trans or the 2 bolts at the bottom of the trans mount, and 2 connections at the radiator.

Jev. I would think that's harder. You don't need to take the lines. unhook them at the trans and leave them in the car. Undo only two nuts on the trans mount (top two) and not all years have the two connectors on the trans.
