I just read the thread about losing all the dash lights and it reminded me to ask you guys about mine. This is on a 2001 GT. The left side of the tach and the fuel gague lights are out. The right side of the tach and the speedo lights are good. Are there bulbs that I can change? I remember older cars that had the black plastic bulb holders that remove with a quarter turn, replace the bulb and re-install the bulb holder. It also might mean I have a cracked PC board not getting any power to the left side instruments. Can anyone shed some light (pun) on this? Thanks!

Ya they are the bulbs with the plastic base that you turn. More than likely a bulb is burned out.

What if you do replace the bulbs? The light bulb on the left side works for a short time when you first start the car then turns off. Usually when you start the car back up the light turns back on. I bent the contacts on the bulb housing just in case there was a gap. That made no difference. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the housing or the whole cluster assembly. Any thoughts?

If you're saying that you've replaced the bulbs and this is happening, then you're probably looking at bad contacts (where the prongs on the bulbs sit on the board) or possible bad tracers on the board.

If that is the case is there anything that you are able to do about that without replacing the entire cluster?
