    on the outside is fine.

    headers are much thinner, the engine sounds louder under the hood with them.

    Your worried about the leaks before the 02 sensor..so the cat doesn't matter..cross over is biggest issue

    Ok well i would assume if i did have a leak it would be in the crossover anyway cause the frickn thing was a huge pain and wouldnt line up right so in the a.m ill make a trip to autozone. Even if it doesnt fix the problem it never hurts to try the cheap fix lol

    I got 20bucks, you rtv that cross over and she gets dialed in ...had same issue....also make sure the bolt that holds the egr tube to the header is tight as well and or rtv that connection as well.

    Hey im on a budget! Haha but all things considered i think the sd headers were pretty decent quality. They deffinately needed some tweaking to come together but for a third of the cost of other headers id say its worth the pain.

    You can always just start the car up and cup your hand around the crossover joint and feel for air it's not really hard to tell if it's leaking

    And SD headers are best bang for buck..rtv and band clamps and they are fine for a budget build

    See and thats what my dad said but im just not experienced with how it should sound but like i posted earlier i noticed a decently loud ticking on my drive home and it was clearly from the exaust and i have magnaflow mufflers that sound totally different now then they did before the swap but i just figured that was because of the headers and such

    Any unmetered air that enders the system throws trims off...most common are vac. Leaks and exhaust header leaks.

    Make sure you disconnect battery for a good hour to reset the fuel trims, and no WOT runs until after a good 20 to 30 min of steady acceleration and cruising...watch your trims see if they are closer to 0.

    the only time i used rtv was when i clamped my cat in temporary to get through inspection. i waited no time, fired it up and it was sealed.

    it either seals it, or it dont in my book.

    copper rtv is best for the exhaust

    So how long do you leave battery unhooked? Also no one laugh but i didnt feel any leaks coming from the crossmember so i jacked the car up got under it and i forgot to tighten the clamp that goes from the header to the downpipe. Which normally wouldnt be a big deal but since i moved the o2 sensor to the ubend it apparently is...
