For my 2005 grand prix gtp (non monsoon) and my brothers 2006 gxp (monsoon) we got power acoustik pd-651b radios. They gave us this dash kit (gmk422) and harness for our cars, but upon further reading there is a grand prix specific dash kit (Metra 95-3527) which I will hopefully get changed out. I was then was wondering if I can get the plain harness to work on my car(gwh416) and if the other will work on the gxp (soo-gm15). I saw the suggested is gmos-01 for non-monsoon and gmos-04 for monsoon to keep the chimes but any help is appreciated. Thank you -Zach

When I did my install with a double din android screen I went with the gmos-01. Made the install a lot easier and I was able to keep my chimes

These people really fvcked me over. At first they tried to say 04+ stock is not a double din, then all this too! Time to go back and get it, just wasn't sure if the other harness for the gxp will work the same. I appreciate it though

Not sure if the other harness will work but I know to retain the chimes you need the gmos-01. I got everything from Amazon, does your HU have steering wheel control built in to it?

I don't think so since it's lower quality, but that other harness is supposed to retain the steering wheel controls only for "name brand" stereos like kenwood, pioneer, etc.

It says it is steering wheel compatible. Does it have what looks like a headphone jack in the back?

no my after market China brand just had a wire that says key 1 and key 2. Cut the steering wheel wire on the harness on the vehicle and tap it into the key 1. Make sure you ground the other wire from the car harness as the steering wheel wire on the car is two wires that you use
