I purchased a set of H11 LED bulbs to try to make fit in place of the 881 fogs. I thought maybe I could modify the housing to make it fit. That was a failure, but it was not all for not as I was able to put them in my mom's car since she has H11 low beams.
She also had the radio interference I had, but when I purchased the H11's I also purchased some clip on ferrite cores to try to help with the interference.
Some research I had done said they may help. They were cheap so I figured, why the hell not? I did some experimentation with placement and after trying a few things I cleared the interference on my mom's car by placing a ferrite core right next to the LED bulb. I also put one on the factory harness next to the plug in as it seemed to help just a little bit more.
I finished up her car then I grabbed some dinner. I went back out in the dark with a flashlight to try to fix my interference. Even trying similar placement on my car I wasn't able to clear the interference yet. With the dark and the biting cold wind I finally said fvck it and bolted the headlights back in. I'll probably try again this weekend. I am sure I will be able to cure it, I just have to find the right placement.
