My rear bumper cover took its second hit today. Someone backed into it in my work parking lot. Yay more paint cracks. Wonder when the next back in will be?
Mine pulled in a grand off two rear bumper licks, hope you do as well. See, you guys was talkin bout my smashys last night, be warned it might be webtagious.
I'll post a pic when I get home, its pretty minimal. But why should I have to pay for someone else's mistake?
Well she was a customer, I talked to her already and we have all of her info in our computer.
Exact-amundo. It only took emailed pics and a $619 estimate for mine on the dump truck one. No adjuster visit, no dispute. Add to that two day's rental and thats about what you're entitled to with like 3 flag hrs repair to the bumper. You get to decide if, when, where to repair and check goes to you if thats what you want. State that you may make your own repairs and have it painted off the car, to eliminate confusion or involving a shop other than to get that estimate.
ooor- take the estimate to the lady and ask if she would like to settle with you personally. Thats always an option, and both your agents would appreciate if you did that. Consider previous damage when haggling and be nice, lol.
my insurance company , Erie ins. , no longer cuts you a check. it used to be get 3 estimates and they cut you a check for the average amount. now they just wanna know where your taking it for repairs and they deal directly with the shop.
Wait.. parking lot hits are different than road hits. Check policy / local laws. There, done. sry!
Quoting myself here because of yesterday's happenings. Long story short, the gasket kit I got for my Stealth had garbage LIM gaskets and the UIM gasket wasn't right. I called Advance, they didn't have the Felpro kit on hand, but they ordered it for me and I picked it up today. I couldn't ask for better customer service.
It was some eBay upper gasket kit. A lot of the gaskets are really good, OEM like, but the lower intake gaskets were almost like they were too thick, and they seemed to have an extra "ear" on them which made fitment almost impossible and I basically destroyed one in the process.
Didn't really bother me that much. I've used the Felpro intake gasket kit before and it is OEM like. It only cost me $15 and it has both lower intake gaskets and the upper. And like I said I ordered it last night at 8:30 and it was there at 9:00 this morning. Can't ask for better service.
did a fuel pump today. regal didnt have a locking ring, but a jew clip.
then it also decided to toss a crank sensor code. good thing i have like 8 spare cranks sensors lol.
