Thanks for the color sample, thats what I needed to see. Looks like a fine match. Wow, you must have the only fog switch with working indicator left in the world! Thats pretty cool interior piece makin you done there. I never liked the texture coatings much but its that or be obvious. Used to finish and prime reman bumper covers day in and out, and used Urethane Supply texture coating from a gallon, thru a gun, and thats cool because you can totally tune the texture. None of it ever really looks authentic though...to a paint guy. I found that sanding after tex coat helps in some cases. Coolio, thx

I love it this way. I haven't turned the fog light switch to off in what seems like forever, yet I have HID fog DRL's that can be turned off by me if and when I want.
Oh didn't see the reply earlier. No, stock alarm. I just have the stock fog lamp switch wired to key on power, so if in the on position, will turn the fogs on key-on. I'm sure they will flash when starting it, so I'd like a 2 second delay or so. Ideally I'd like them to turn on when the shifter is in drive though, like later GM's.

Are you using the stock switch like I am? Also what timer would you recommend? I see you've been through a few ideas.

That dang thing was so gummy it can't help but stick, right? The challenge may be when its time to clean it without hurting it. Even OE interior paints will rub off in time. The good thing is, all you gotta do if that happens is shake your can lol. Welcome back, Scotty.

Woops, forgot GTP update- Tires yes! Alignment = fail. Back to the drawing board. Any of you guys do alignments for a living or used to? Need help with solution based on alignment check sheet. May make thread for that alone, or tag it to my ride thread. I'm all over the body measurements but this FWD susp crap throws me and I'm not sure what to move where.

i was able to let it sit outside in the heat over night. then by noon the next day it was back on. the can says to not use for 24 hrs if its a handled part. so i just did the kid gloves for a few days, its lost all its tack and is smooth to the touch now. took a few days to cure up.

its is nice to hit the horn and not leave a smudge int he cover, or stick to it.

funny but i tossed the airbag that was on it in a plastic bag and in the trunk, ( remember i have two) i took it inside a few days later and the bag was 100% stuck to the airbag lol

FFDP, will do but I'm racing sun. It'll be an hour or so, the printout is barely legible. Thx 4 reply and check back. They said toe was decent but indicated LF caster was so far out ("over a half inch") all they knew to do was scratch head. Got another place in mind, used this place for tires because its closest to my work but I think I have jeans older than everyone there lol. They charged me $35 I think, and advised camber slot on RR strut but could not advise up front. Cross camber is in left field, you'll see. I didn't find significant unibody structure damage after wreck, but only did quick checks. It drives damn good to be messed up. Back after I clean wheels n tires, watch junk thread for spec post plz. I knew it would be you who spoke up!

Scotty, can ya throw that bag against the wall and stick it like them gummy toys? I always determined a chick's readiness for action by throwing panties at the wall to see if they stick. Ha, kidding!

you need to go slot the front struts now. how many times was this car hit? maybe that has some thing to do with it to.

I know there is no adjustment for caster, like with most cars.

I couldnt say why it's like that, unless the strut is kinda bent or something weird.

I wouldnt even worry about the that rear camber on the right side, sure it's "out" of spec, but it's by such a small margin that it will not cause extra inside edge wear. You can change it if you wish.

So if the steering isnt hard or you get no real shakes or causes for concern, I would just have the front toe and steering wheel corrected or get it close to even on both sides to insure the steering wheel is centered and tire wear will not be a concern.

Caster can only cause pulls and odd driving issues. If you have none I wouldn't worry about it. Likely the lca's ball joint is not in the right location. Whether the LCA is bent, the subframe is bent, or possibly the strut, but not too likely.(for caster)
-1.2° camber should be correctable by slotting the strut. Check it out real good though to make sure its not bent. It is pretty hard to tell by eyeballing it though.

On my GT, shhhh... I slotted the control arm mount. These guys today talked like my LF was way forward. I could create adjustment that way, eh?

Relevant facts: Sensa Trac Quick Struts a year ago, noisy mounts (I think mounts) from day one. Still creaks like crazy, one side more so. Tech said all is tight, susp and steering wise. car got bumped once and lightly spanked once on the rear bumper squarely, just pinched the cover and mashed the absorber a little on each. Right front hit in January that fired the bags... just tore the bumper cover off and broke a headlight. Lost a chunk of absorber too. I found nothing alarming measuring underhood structure, still has good gaps and drove fine the whole time. Also- had the frame out to drop trans on a lift. Put it back on the witness marks and been that way many months. Also- last alignment the tech slotted RF to tilt it out at top corner for spec. I was advised of the tiny rear offage then and ain't too worried. Wheel is straight. Maybe it could drive straighter. I just want to avoid any undue unpredictability in cornering at speed.

Seriously bro, you got a big cross hair on your ass. How many accidents (approximately because I know you couldn't count that high lol) would you say you've been in?

He mentioned a list of all of Grand Prix related accidents a while back,(which was nothing short of mind blowing) I can't imagine what a list of total accidents would be like

Oh I listed all of them in that thread I just linked a few minutes ago. Except for the most recent, another Ford up the ass. Not bad. I've never seen a wreck or been riding when wrecked. Its just me and whatever I did in my last incarnation, playing out day by day. Sure as heck seems to be a pattern though. if i make it nice... as long as its not mine nothing will happen to it. But if its mine, look out! Only a brief study of the Hermetic principles has allowed me to grasp whats happening to me. Luck is random, and it plays a part.

You have a dash cam now though, somehow that makes it a little easier to deal with future accidents

To make your lives easier, I think its in the low teens as far as collisions go. I've just been alive a long time, thats all. One at-fault, the 40th GTP.

In all those, there was never any dispute. When my arm got broke, that one looked like a no-brainer to me but fault is still a month away from being decided then probably another month before I'll hear the decision. Shoulda been knocking on car windows but I felt no need to gather witnesses then. Silly broken me.
