Took the truck back to the body shop because right behind the rear tires is chipping again. Guy said its because of no mud flaps and technically isn't covered in the lifetime warranty but he's going to make a deal with us. If we buy mud flaps for him to put on he will redo the paint again for nothing. So my grandpa is hitting up the dealer tomorrow for some mud flaps. Looks like is gonna be like 80-90 bucks for a front and rear.
Also in a few weeks im going to buy stuff for my polisher, I watched smuts use his this weekend and it looked super easy. Gonna test it out on the truck as it has lots of swirls and dullish paint in areas.
Yes, lmao. I'll be in flint this weekend i might just stop in HF pickup chepo pads untill i feel like buying some chem guys or lake country pads. Then hitup walmart for some compound, polish and wax and maybe claybar if they have it.
I just want them so i can practice mostly. Dan did half of clays regal with one and it seemed to hold up okay.
dont go all high speed then, if the edges come apart the disk under it will hit the paint. you dont want the paint remover buff job lol
if you see little balls of what ever color pad your using, slow the speed down asap, its coming apart on ya.
Right on scotty
I drove it today..... 15 1/2 hours.. I woke up in Ohio this morning, now I'm not in Ohio..![]()
Texas loves loud poopy 3800 noises.
Cap'n theres a lot of good places to run flat-out down there, you may need heavier equipment to eat them big wide concrete roads. Lived in TX for years. I bet you passed near here (NW AR) on the way.
Russo, stay off those spots under the headlights until you get some spray paint over where clear is gone. Or- make it worse possibly.
Today some murdered out VW sedan with a 2.0 badge was waiting for the light to turn green so they could nail it and whip in front of me (this was my hunch and it was valid, don't know how besides experience). They launched hard which I had anticipated, and I did the GTP roll-off then floor it thang for about 4 seconds then coasted so they could whip in front of me, furious fly-by style. They were outgunned but rowdy. Speed limit 40 but they had to be going 90 when they braked for the next light. l rolled up behind and we waited... again they poured on all the oats and kept their right foot planted but I had what I came for in those first 4 seconds of whiney off-idle stompin after the first light and was done. Chuckled, hit cruise and watched them dart in and out til outta sight.
Drove a jeep today. I have never driven one until today and now I understand why guys love em.
GPs sitting till the weekend when I have time to bang out and get the fuel pump ring back on (btw discounted by GM),started having issues with it not wanting to start.. Had the icm tested.. Bad.. Good thing I had a few spades one sitting on the shelf. To bad I lack time during the week to really do any wrenching.
