I did lots today. I drove more than I wanted to, because I got distracted and went the wrong way. LOL
Also my new lugnuts came in the mail. I loaded the car up and took a bunch of parts for my Stealth over to my uncles and sandblasted them. I have sand in places where sand should never be. Blew all the parts off, loaded them back in the car and came home.
I unloaded everything and decided to wash the car in case I decide to put it in the car show tomorrow. After washing I took each wheel off, one at a time, and scrubbed the wheel wells and the inside of each wheel and tire. I put tire shine in the wheel wells and on the tires, then reinstalled with the new lug nuts.
As far as I can tell the car looks good, but its hard to tell cause it got dark. I was thinking of throwing a coat of black wax on it in the morning, but I might just say eff it and do some black spray detailer. We'll see.
Tinted my tails this evening. During my buff job I managed to melt the tail lights in a couple places. Gave me an excuse to get a can of VHT and tint them. Got 4 coats of clear on, gonna give them a few days and wetsand/buff them out. Hopefully this time without melting them.
First oil / filter change in the GT in over two years. It sat, wrecked. Probably didn't have 1500 miles on the oil but I felt guilty lol.
It is strange to have the pair of black coupes sitting outside. Its good but feels unsettling because of having to decide what to do with what. All I ever wanted was one unwrecked one and now I'm stacked up to my ears with everything but that. I'll be forced to bring home my spare L67 soon and already am tripping over 40th parts at every step here. Not looking forward to the CL frenzy that will have to happen. Folks only buy stuff from me if I let them steal it and everything I've got is already worth nothing!
Let me know when the add is up, I might pick up some stuff. I went to the JY today and actually stumbled across a 9C1. Only thing I could really use was the transmission cooler so I picked it up, then had Oreillys make a hydraulic hose for me with compression fittings. Later tonight I'll be installing an old school Alpine V12 (Circa 1996), too:

I kick myself in the booba every time I walk past the couch with roof rails laying on it, buddy. Still planning to use them. I lag. Almost stopped in the UPI here today m'self but it was yeah so dang hot. Took a nap instead under the A/C. Blew out the shop today while mega-sweating, felt like I was breaded in bondo dust til I hit the shower. Hope the amp is a go-er. Ugh, thats another area I gotta tend to, tunes.
One of these days I gotta do something to the old warrior.
Tore down all of the rear suspension it's all laying on the floor struts cross member trailing arm brackets all of it. The cross member is still attached by the ebrake cable. Looks like it would have to be cut to remove. ??
Not sure, but it probably only disconnects at the pedal then you pull it through the floor.
It works so i just left it hooked up and painted around it. looks like the brackets that hold the cable could have been bolted on but they were welded with some popcorn welds.

worked on it from 8:30 pm till 5 am going back to the shop at 1:30 pm today. i got most every thing under there painted now i need to go put all the new parts on in place of all the 200k mile factory parts. just about every thing was stock except 1 tie rod end, the brakes, 1 hub and some dorman trailing arms i put on last year. Now every thing will be new except the brakes, hubs and knuckles.
Put a coat of black wax on it. Going to go ahead and put it in the car show today since the money raised is to fundraise for the VFD.
What a totally different market here, lack of rust does nothing for value. Kinda wondering what I could get for the GT as-is before alignment. Prolly dumb to wonder that. Not a fan of the round airbag cars, and not because of the airbag. Theres quite a few differences. I do enjoy the coupe loop on the 40th seat. But at least if I bought yours I'd have a few cool items to hang on one. I continue to be impressed at how the GT rips vs the GTP. Even now that my good DP is on the GTP. Gears and compression do pretty well as boost sustitutes in stock form. Gotta lose that u-bend though.
First true road test today. 5 hr round trip to Cleveland. Car ran great. Hit almost 21 mpg! Woohoo? Learned a valuable lesson that I need to plan my e85 fill-ups better. Because my stupid stock pump canister is hacked I can't get much below 1/4 tank without running the pump dry. The speedway gas station I was planning on hitting was being remodeled... Which forced me to go 15 minutes on fumes to the next corn pump. But I made it.
Cleveland is a great city. Grew up there.
On a side note- my park ave retired to DD today. Picked up a mint 06 300 srt8 with 32000 miles.

I have the park ave listed for sale, but I don't know that I'll sell it. Such a good car. I do forsee a new trans, struts and tie rods in the next 2 years so maybe it's best I part ways. We will see what happens

Finished My 97 GTP suspension replacement and dropped the car off for an alignment.

Overall it went well only broke a front sway bar end link pulling it apart. The only problems putting it together were tightening the rear driver-side bolt on the front sway bar mount (what a pita 1 click at a time) and the front nuts on the rear strut inside the trunk.
replaced almost everything, Struts, control arms, tie rod ends, front sway bar, rear sway bar, lateral links, trailing arms, trailing arm brackets, trans mount, and engine mounts. I also rust proofed, undercoated, and painted under there as well.
I know someone will ask so yes, those are 2005 Monte Carlo ss dual piston brakes up front. They bolt right up.
I finally got my passenger seat to bolt in right, it seemed like the track was bent, but finally got it to go.
Friday was on my way home from ND in my GP..Something fell off a truck that pulled out infront of me on the highway, was going 63, had to brake then when he turned some rock or something fell off his trailer and chipped my glass pretty good.
Glass spiderwebbed right away, its on passenger side not in my view, but looks horrible after a 3 hour drive. New windshield at my uncles body shop cost 237$ and car gets detailed aswell. Just kind of sucks, really mad, also my amp started smelling hot so I took my subs out of the GP, hid the wires for the system.
G6 is DD for now, until the windshield is fixed. Don't have pictures I lost my phone thursday night, but its about the size of a football for the spider web, and crackings going up from it.
Drove the GP to the Kenny Wayne Shepherd/ Van Halen concert tonight with my Dad and brother (birthday presents for those 2). Consumed some overpriced beer, got to see KWS/VH jam out a good set (surprisingly Dave sounded ok). Dropped everyone off afterwards and about 3 miles from home I could hear a tire going down, and the steering was pulling left. Limped it to my street and then it went down completely.
So as not to ruin the awesome night, I threw my work sh*t into the Bonneville for tomorrow and will deal w/ the tire later. Don't really feel like moving the rear tire up front to put the spare on the back at 1am (due to larger brakes). Hope the tire isn't borked, but meh if it is. I'm gonna grab a few cold ones and chill.
