Bummer. I hear that Reynaldo is a real stickler. LOL
Funny how things change depending on where you stand. They call it "tampering" we call it "modding."

Ya, I can clearly see the difference now. Oh well, live and learn.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Well what you don't know can't hurt you right? You could have mounted tires on 4 of those and drove them and been perfectly happy. Now we have wrecked it for ya

Perfectly happy? NOT! What would have happened is that I would have got them on the car, then said WTF when I see that the offset is the same as what I had. I'm glad you guys pointed it out, cuz if I had paid to have them M&B'd, then found out, lets just say.... Hulk Smash! :th_laugh-lol2:
I might run them once I get the 4th wheel here, but worst case I throw them back on Craigslist and recoupe as much money as i can. I only have $100 tied up at this point for all 4 wheels.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Those are what came on one of my 97 gtps stock.
pre-gens have Pontiac machined on one of the spokes. look for that in your when you are searching for them.
I have only seen pre-gens painted silver.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
You can get $100 out of them probably, they make decent winter rims
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
One more time.
What is the magic solution besides powder coating that will stick to nickel plating. Dupli primer, base and clear, chip bad
Ready to do the dip with clear..
Maybe some Rustoleum high performance wheel paint and clear.....these have to be black.

Ya, that's how I feel.
So now I have a set of torque-stars, snowflakes, fat5's, and 3 pregens (looking into repairing the 4th). Any other wheels I should stock? :th_laugh-lol2:
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Went across the border last night to pick up my pillar pod. Got home and found the GP fairy dropped of a front strut tower brace for me.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Finally got to see the cluster LEDs at night.

Now onto the harder LED stuff, the DIC, climate control, and window switches...

Going to swap it out for another MAF I pulled from the salvage yard. I cleaned it but that had no effect. It was still doing ot. I was getting no SES light. You bring up a good point. I'm going to keep a crank sensor on hand. Never know.
Thanks to Bill. We were able to isolate this as being the MAF and not the crank sensor. Ended up swapping over the other MAF I had pulled from the salvage yard to give it a go and cleared any DTC's. The car is running good so far.

I sanded and wire brushed, followed by Dupli paint prep. Then some coats of green self etching primer, dupli perfect match black and clear multiple coats each.
I just bought some black plastdip to use as a primer. Wrappin it front and back with the dip then a couple Duplicolor black caliper gloss coats.
Last will be some Dupli wheel clear. The only 2 paints that had the same ingredients. Plenty of flat and satin wheel paint to be had but no black gloss.
Thats why the caliper paint. Hopefully with the dip it will be more resilient.
