Following cars being recalled to replace/modify ignition switch:
Lacrosse 2005-09
Impala 2006-14
Luzerne 2006-11
Regal 2004-05
Monte Carlo 2006-2008
How does a GP from those years have a different ignition from its siblings?

I ran my vin through that and it said no active recalls for my 2007 GP. Just seems strange that Pontiac would be unaffected. Bonneville would have been in that timeframe as well as a couple of Oldsmobiles.
could it be because Pontiac is not around anymore that it just gets ignored now for recalls?
I doubt that unless GM really wants to be in it deep lol.

If a recall has been issued for your GM vehicle, including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn, HUMMER, or Saab, find it here.
so yeah i see pontiac in there lol
Maybe we can convince gm to recall the 4t65 for being a POS lol

That goes for just about any stock transmissions. It amazes me how many guys complain about their trans going out with 100-150k on the clock... Their expecting to much.. Be happy you reached that point after all. But I guess we expect a transmission to last forever...
