or get a oil pressure gauge. or plug it like i did to mine lol 3 of em in a year. im done with it.
Wow 3? Well mine was already replaced 2 years ago. If this one ever goes I'm leaving bad feedback on advance auto's page, and going to oem. Or maybe hook up an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and just crimp the stock wire together(to avoid an oil psi light)

Changed the oil pressure switch and did an oil change since I had to drain some oil anyway, might as well go all the way. I had 2,700 miles on synthetic..but it has been 10 months since the last one.

Drips coming off the pressure switch

Did an oil change while I was at it.

You can see that the electrical connector actually filled with oil.

The oil was coming out of where the electrical connector goes.

    Switch removed.

New/Old. Looks to be the same aftermarket part. Looks like I'll be changing it again in 2 more years.

    New part installed.

    I always prefill my filters

I got this mess to clean up.

    Eyecandy

I'm only able to use 4.7 out of the 5 quarts in my 3800. The manual says 4.5 quarts but 4.7 brings it to the full line.

The leftover goes into my punp oiler for working on cars.

A nice tools used photo. I see a write-up in the future. Might even do an oil change write up. I know we have one on the forums already, but come on, it's not on a GP. We need an oil change how-to on a GP since it's the GP forums.

We just got the truck back today and I must say drives like new, so nice quiet and hey all 8 cylinders work! LOL, don't shake around like jello any more. My boyfriend is pretty estatic right now and happy to be able to take it to work again, and i am happy to have my car back lol now to work on getting the lame deep scratches out.

you should seriously make an updated online version of a haynes manual or something LOL

i always just save that ~1/2qt. in 1 5qt jug, and eventually i'll have a free oil change

I would rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than lose by an inch, because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.

Just give it another few years and I will have replaced every part on my car and taken adequate pictures for a manual lol

Haha thats funny, I never thought of that, even for the friends of mine who have no other use for oil but in their cars. They probably just throw it out or put the old oil back in the new container, rendering that leftover useless.

the last picture you can buff out the scratches but you will need touch-up paint then 2000 grit sand paper and sand it down. or you will need to cut and re paint small patches with some clear over it. nice sandels btw. If you dont do anything you will develop rust faster but it looks like it didnt break the primer so you can get away with spraying it then blending its edges.

I don't think rust will be in issue for this bumper, it looks plastic

Filled it with a full tank of 93 and going to try to make this tank stretch a little over a week til i get retuned. Also made a plan to get some stuff done over the next month for it including wheel balance next week, oil change next week along with fresh set of AL605s, next month change rear rotors as one or both are warped, replace hood lift supports and possibly window motor, paint rims, do the HD lip and do an underhood detail with possible new intake setup.

I took the 200 mile round trip. It was a hot day. Trans got up to 210. Engine normally runs cool, got up to normal with the 180 stat. Day before, I had cleaned the engine and bought valve cover gaskets. TOday at lunch i popped the hood to see how bad the oil had leaked. Not ONE drop to be seen. It's like the gaskets magically stopped leaking.

Stuffed the skinny pedal to the floor to stop a newish accord from passing me......twice the second time I waited for him to get beside me before I floored it and then waved bye bye to him. Then I got home and realized I have a vacuum leak I need to fix.
