Driving the ever popular cavalier to work this morning and when hitting bumps, the interior lights would come on then fade off. Did this 3 or 4 times over fairly large bumps. I know you will say avoid the bumps and problem solved.....not here. You either go off-road or hit the bumps. Cavalier does not go off-road.
Looked at it and was really happy that the upholstery was completely dry after last night's storms. Shoving a zip tie down the drain holes in the sunroof and twisting it several times seems to have worked.
Then put 8 gallons of gas in the Prius, which took me from the blinking gas light all the way to topped-off full. For $25, I'll drive the next week and a half on that.
Gladly.

I haven't had to replace any control arms, motor mounts, radiators, A/C compressors, brakes, coolant temp sensors, wires, LIM gaskets, valve cover gaskets, vacuum lines, ignition coils, dogbone bushings, heater cores, or flush any Dexcool sludge out of my Toyota this year. In fact, I've de-sludged GM cars three times this year so far.
There's no sunroof that leaks, no blend actuator door acting funny, no wheel speed sensors taking a dump causing the ABS/TCS lights to go off, no SES lights for the evap system, and no misfires on cylinder #3. Rear strut tower is rusty, rocker panels are rusty, trans lines are rusty, brake lines are rusty. Oil pan and gasket needs replaced, trans pan is dented and needs replaced too...
(Actually, where's the Like button when I need it.)
Your Prius is also 8 years newer. 8 years ago your GP probably didn't need all that either.
Come back when it's your GP age and we'll see what kind of things it needs. It may still need less things than the GP, but it will surely cost a LOT more.
I couldn't agree more... People are always badmouthing GP's, and comparing them to much newer cars. Even though the newest GP is 5 years old... How about someone mention all of the good things they have to offer, and the reason you own or owned one for a change...
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II now Free
Not to mention how inexpensive those replacement parts are. Folks will still complain though
Exactly. One of the many reasons I keeps the GP around. Cheap parts + easy to work on... Win- win for me.
-Disabled DRL's
-Installed 5k Bi-Xenon HID's
First they wern't working then I remembered something about flipping wires around and now they work (I think) I might have the low/high's switched. Will find out tonight. New headlights Wednesday ignore the moisture and cracks!
