^^^ abortion
yup. its a pain in the ass. and will cost me 30 damn bucks to have a scanner hooked up to it and re home that bullsh1t.
I did this last year, by mistake. Had the car up on my buddy's hoist looking for my vibration. He decided it was time to run the car on the hoist and look at things. I started the car, put her in D and raised the hoist. We were looking at things and the car started running like crap. I looked at my buddy and said, "did you do to my car?". We then looked at each other and at the same time, said, "ABS" and laughed.
The Avalanche decided to eat another wheel bearing yesterday, cost a nice 588 to get it fixed. Dealer also said the pads were at 50% and they aren't quite a year old and the truck didn't even get drove much during the summer so thats odd lol.
Check and see if they are evenly worn, it might be that something isn't lubed up like it should, causing on pad to rub, making the rotor\hub hotter, and toasting the wheel bearing.
Well according to the guy he didn't even look at the pads much and the 50% was basically just a random guess so way to go. No wonder I still hate that dealership.
I've never had a dealer do anything to my car. In my Honda days (no I wasn't a ricer. It had a stereo, some handling stuff, and got good MPGs), a buddy had a head replaced at a dealer and it never ran right. He tore into it himself with a mechanic friend and the head bolts were literally finger tight, some bolt were not even touching the head yet. After that, never again. Short of tires, alignment, and exhaust, no one else touches my car. Once I get a welder and get good at welding exhaust will be done by me.
Washed the balt today.

Sweet balt,
Yeah i hate anyone working on my car too. Its my grandpas truck and he couldn't wait for me to get parts and get it installed.
picked up the new RAV4 today.. freaking love this thing, SOOOOO much better then a GP.. though the GP was probably more fun acceleration wise. this things has way more fun gadgets.
ill get some pics of her soon enough.
Washed it.
Finally got a second key made for it. $11 PK3 blank and a $2 cut. $13 for a little peace of mind is a cheap investment.
$11? You got ripped. I think I paid $5 (maybe even less) and got it cut for free.
Meh... $6... I think the generic ones were cheaper, but I wanted the one that had "GM" molded in the rubber.
Mine has the Pontiac logo on it...
