thank god for snow blowers.

Yeah I kinda like using it though. Most of my neighbors have these teeny little 2 stroke snowblowers and can't handle too much. We have a 4 stroke 5.5hp honda blower that works really well. It's a single stage but it has no problem throwing snow 15-20 ft depending on the wind. It's also light so having no transmission isn't really a problem.
they all run hot around town it seems. id love to know what mine runs at. regals, what can i say? the one cool gauge you gp's get we dont get.
I wish my GP had one though. I'd just get an aftermarket one if I really wanted to know.
i had one of them single stage blowers, when its deep you just go slow and it eats it up pretty good.
nothing beats the new 3 stage blowers they got out now, my god it looks like it could eat a person lol
hers the cub cadet, 1/2 way thorugh they show the 3x the bad boy lol

Oh wow, never heard of a 3 stage, that's neat. Probably much harder to work on and more things to go wrong though. I bet they're pricey.
I dont remember how tall of snow my honda can take, but the engine has plenty of power to take right up to the top of the auger housing. And like you said I do have to go slower at that point. It's the HS 621.
Here's a good video on it. Ignore the strange music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEPtwuRLryk
they said maintenance free gear box. so you know what that means? throw it in the trash when it quits lol
i like the plastic sleds it slides on too. those metal ones always rot out bend then dig into the drive way.
Yeah at one point I was trash picking and buying snowblowers that weren't working for cheap, fixing them (usually clean/rebuild the carb and oil change) and sell for a nice profit, and I saw all the problems with the metal constructions. The honda is mostly plastic so it's very slick, the snow slides right off it. It doesn't even have runners on it, just a scraper blade.
The metal housings on the 2 stage blowers need to be repainted every 10 years or else the rust really makes it hard to let the snow by.
if you spray the shoot down with pam, ( cooking butter spray) or wd-40 it keeps it from clogging up when in slush too.
if more people would hose the damn thing down when it warms up a day after the storm or so they would last for ever, but they let them sit there packed with snow to rust.
i had to change the paddles on my single stage a few times too. ( i used it commercially) once it stops pulling the blower they are dead.
Yeah mine's on it's second set of paddles/scraper blade. I have heard of the pam trick, I haven't tried it yet though. I wipe as much snow off it as I can before storing it, even though there's really not much to rust.
Well it's starting to look like I need to go out and do the snow again, but it will wait til tomorrow. I don't think I'm gonna go to work. It's other people I'm worried about.
^^^^ got out there with a can of pam and spray it
Tbh I don't even know if we have pam
Do you have wd-40 or some type of oil you can use
Yeah I've got that stuff. My boss mentioned silicone spray but I have to wait for it to dry for a bit. I did try a film of motor oil before, but I think it all washed off. Like I said the fact that it's all plastic is a huge help, I didn't notice much of a difference with the oil when I tried it.
Ahh ok I do have a question for you regarding the bose amp. But I will need to send you pictures of it.
changed the thermostat in the GP yesterday. The car warmed up much faster. Now to see if it runs like crap again.
She took my sister safely to school and me to work. With a good set of tires. I'm truthfully not really afraid of any sort or snow. They didn't plow our plan the one day and we had 6 inches and she powered through that. But she is a dirty bish needs a wash. Needs the bolts on the downpipe check for tightness. And an oil change before I go to school. Hopefully Tuesday I can get all of that done. Until then she yells at me every time I get in to change her oil. Then when spring hits. I hope for a tranny cooler. I hit 212 during the summer as soon as I got the car but I had a bad tstat and needed a coolant flush don't know if this affects the trans side of the rad but I'm gonna be better to be safe than sorry. I do like this car even tho it's an auto and NA lol so I'm gonna try and make her last. Also a pan drop and filter change coming around the same time as the tranny cooler
gonna finally just put an mp3 input in it i think...
