Threw in a few tack welds and panel bonded the **** out of the driver quarter... good enough for what its needed for right now seeing as its going to be covered anyway. Just gotta lay down body filler. (Hopefully Ron will let me do that before we roll it out for.... aparantly epoxy primer until my attendance is up.... then paint and new windshield!!!! Then tires engine trans brakes and hopefully within a few months exhaust. Gah still such a long way to go, but still not too long til she runs and I can cruise again!
I normally price a few places for parts. Amazon, rockauto, and advance auto parts(using discount codes). I pick up about 70% from AAP, and then 20% from Amazon, and maybe 10% from rockauto.
Took the car in for an emission test so I can sell it. Found out they can tell when you've pull the battery to try to reset codes. Opps. Have to drive it another 100-200 miles to have the computer relearn. Then hopefully a code reset before trying the test again. I thought it was going to be the last time I drive the GP, but I guess I'll be driving it to work the rest of the week.
Took it for a short cruise. Not very often I get it out in the winter. It was a nice and sunny day. Tomorrow a big snow storm is coming on by. Might be the last time I drive this car for a while.

I would at least get a set of led bulbs. Keeping them they way it is is asking to cause a accident or ticket.
^^^ Nice GPF tramp stamp.
tnx
do you think the tint is legal or not?
Hoped to do control arms and rear subframe bushings today got slowed down when i saw that both sway bar links had pie slice shapes missing from the rubber part. Went and bought those. Got the LCAs off and the bushings. Can't get the new subframe bushings on! The bottom half of the bushing assembly is recessed and the part on top of the subframe has a protrusion. The two parts nest together and the bolt goes through them up into the chassis. I've worked until I was frozen in the dark between trying to jack the subframe up slightly to trying to compress the halves together with a jack. Finally had to give up until morning. Now I'm kind of in trouble. Need to get to work for at least some of tomorrow.
The good news is that I have everything jacked up and supported properly so I'm safe fooling around under there.
Bad news is snow later tomorrow.
I'd pay someone to come help finish it up, but hate to start with Craigslist all over again.
I think your going to have issues. It's block a lot of the light. Personally I would either have a tint shop use tint on them or a bodyshop paint them for you or get tinted led tails.
I had two coats of VHT on my 97 GT, It was a dark ruby kind of look, this was after I had done 5 coats and it was to dark, so I had to sand them down and try again. So if you feel like your going to be rear ended then peel and try again.
too dark,
i use VHT everytime.
it comes out like glass and has little to no effect on light output if done right.
I fixed it. But it looked better black :D
