I know it means that it's time to change the oil in my car. I put 5+ gallons in now since I'm burning it. Comes with the territory of a 11 year old car...

yeah ive been putting off the oil change cause its been raining non stop forever.

i got scared because i had never seen an oil light go on in the cluster. that and i know one of the oil lights basicly tells you your motors is fuuuukked, but after a quick search and a little chat boxing i realized it just signifies low oil not low PSI. after chacking my levels and checking for leaks ive come to the conclusion that im fine.... fingers crossed

Installed a 5 button DIC along with my 3 button. Both are running in tandem keeping the milages correct. Didn't cost more than $10 in parts. Did however give me a giant heart attack when I first hooked them up and had no light and the speedo didn't work either. After a few deep breaths and calmed down. Checked the fuse. Blown. All good now. Pics later. Bed now

started my car this morning, it was so sweet not to hear anything rattling, so i took it the car wash and vacuumed it, no car wash rain for the next 2 or 3 days.

it was cold this morning, so you know why i could not resist beating on it it a little bit too

Haven't been on in a few days so I'm gonna make up for it.
--Friday: Replaced leaking transmission cooler line after I figured out (don't ask how lol) that it was spraying fluid all over the fracking place.
--Saturday: Got 2 new Altimax HP's installed on the front, had old front's moved to back and got rid of the 205/60/16's that were on the back. Also put some SeaFoam into the gas tank to hopefully cure my cylinder #4 misfire issue that developed Thursday. Not 100% sure if it worked yet *fingers crossed*, but no more misfire code, it sounds better when it idles, runs better......and I think it even feels feels snappier. I'm hoping and praying it worked.
--Today: Washed and vacuumed the car (cold temps+water+wind+my hands=not good combo), and put some Rain-X Anti-Fog stuff on the interior glass....will have to see how it works.

Going out to dinner for our wedding anniversery. Started my GTP using the remote start. It started, cut off, wouldn't restart. Got in, put the key in and started it. It kept flashing check traction control and check suspension control. I cut it off restarted it and it seems fine. Used the GMC to go 25 miles each way. Will use the GTP for a shorter trip before relaxing. Been having trouble with the Lightning starting since the huricane came through.

    Finally washed it.
Drained the ocean out of the passanger tail light.
Drilled holes in bottom of tails to drain water.
Used air compressor to blow water out of said tails.
    Rain-xd the windows.
    Tired shined the tires.

Not to shabby for an 1.5 hours worth of freezing cold work.

I was gonna do it correctly like you did... but then I decided to find a dealer to reprogram it. And then when none of them would I just decided that it would be about 56k miles off until I find one that's close

BTW If anyone is selling a 5 button DIC with around 100k on it I'm extremely interested

Went to the local massive fair TheBigE.com and due to rain... took it offroad mudding with 4 people in it. Funny is how I did better than a few Jeep Liberty's..

I would rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than lose by an inch, because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.
