Darn theres two places that are identical on the pulley side, ill just google a pic. I forgot to mention i found the source of the stripped sensor that came off the wiring harness. It connects to the axle housing(not sure this is the right name) on the passenger side. What does this thing do? I can take a pic.

Ill be trying to join the wire some how, dont even know if they sell them like that. Where did you find that nice wiring diagram for the starter? Id like to double check the pos wire location for ac comp and alternator.

    found it in a thread.

if you got a junk yard go to it and cut the plug off, leave your self 6 inches of wore, then solder it to your wires. plug it in.

or, i know a place on ebay that will make you any gm pigtail for about 10 bucks.

anything with a 3800 pretty much has the same tranny. regals, impalas, monties grand prix, park ave.

im not sure if the 04+ cars have a different plug or not, but its the same tranny, so i'd think its match.

Everything is going great as far as connecting wire harness back I was kinda scared I won't lie. This connector has been giving me problem it comes out by the master cylinder. I have to pull REALLY hard to line it up with the hole seen right behind. That little clip does nothing to hold it in place. Any suggestions?

it def didnt lead to that hole, i hope i didnt damage it by pulling on it so hard. It went into some sensor on the engine. I think tmrw might be the big day i cant beleive it but evrything seems to be in order just have to plug the spark wires up connect the ac comp add fluids and reconnect the fuel line, I also need the male tht goes i to that trans sensor, super excited. Thanks for the help today Scotty.

take a look at your old engine, you got a evap line thats lower on the intake and the pcv nipple up top. evap line likely leads to the firewall.

Ok one last question. I figured since I reconnected everything I could hook up the negative to battery and see if lights turn back on etc. I'm not getting anything, could it be that I havent connected the pos to ac comp yet?

no cable goes to the ac, the pos cable goes to the starters fat stud with the other eye loop.

and you need the power wire back on the alternator from the fuse boxy top too.

ok, i got my wiring wrong. Based on the pic you posted i thought i got everything right with the starter. This means one of the negative (or pos?) cables coming out of the harness has to go somewhere else and i dont know where that would be..hmm. Can anyone recall there being a negative wire while installing or removing the air injection pump?

edit- Or did i just get thrown off by the pic not showing the pos cable coming from the left side (from battery) and connecting into the starter? Because thats the only other possibility.

on the tranny, one bolt had threads off it and a nut, thats where the ground cable and the other wire or two goes.
