Hi I'm new and have a p0171 code, can you help?

okay guys here we go again and a great big

now. absolutely 0 vacuum leaks an accomplishment in itself, smoke tested, new MAF, new EGR tube, new positive battery cable clean and sprayed all connections for both cables and a new O2 sensor installed yesterday. prior to the o2 stft was about 20% now we are looking at a 0 to a slightly negative number at idle to when you give it some gas about 2800RPM or so. Don't remember the LTFT but i dont think it was crazy number. This morning all monitors were set and I was on my way home to get inspected and about 65 miles in it lit up again with this f'in code. I did drive it a little hard but should that matter? Anybody got anything else? I'm really at the end of my rope here.

That would be great Bill, The car is inop right now since I sent the throttle body to Rock auto for a rebuild. My mech said it leaks. I expect it'll be back some time this coming week. So if you want next weekend might be good. I'm in New Fairfield aka No Funfield!. After all that work code came right back.

Haven't had the chance ive had some other issues to attend to.... Actually going to have surgery on Monday. I did find another vacuum hose that was bad and changing it made the light go out for about a day and half.

Any luck clearing P0171 Crysalis ? FalconJohn , I am still chasing. Cleared the p0441,previous owner had the hoses routed wrong. Just checked the pcv valve and noticed no o-rings ? Does the 3800 SC PCV have o-rings ?

No joy here mine comes and goes but no joy. Should be one O ring on PCV. Look inside the hole it tends to stay in there when you pull the PCV out.

If you have 160K on your car and it's completely stock you might need gaskets too. Have you had it smoke tested? I also had a leaky SC gasket and TB.

Yep I found mine. Did a smoke test and found a hose completely unplugged. I'm a lucky one I guess.

wish mine was that easy, no visible vacuum leaks from the smoke test. I'm really think it's payback for something I did in another life. Too bad I can't remember what!
