I have a Eclipse XA4200 powering two tweeters (Polk) and two coaxials (Alpine). I also have a Alpine MRV T757 powering two Sony 12s. Recently the highs amp has been shutting off and on while driving. Bass amp stays on and playing (not kool). Now if i turn the car to acc mode...it sounds like the music fades in and out. What could be the problem? Grounds to both amps are fine and are connected at one point. I do have a melted fuse block under the hood that will get fixed, but i dont think that's the issue. Thanks. If you need pics let me know

Try moving your ground.. Try the bolt underneath the seatbelt bracket.

I use the strut tower bolt. Could be possible the amp could be damaged or dying.

Is it in protected mode when it shuts on and off? I have my ground behind the backseat under the carpet along a metal bar. That's me though.

Are you using same ground for both amps? If so then I understand the problem affecting both. However if not then only one amp would be effected by each separate ground. Either way my money is on the power supply is the part that sucks not the grounds. When on ACC the power fades in and out because its on battery power not altenator power from the vehicle. Id start by checking the altenator and battery.

What 98GrandPrixIraqVet said. When you have the two grounds fastened in the same spot, one of the amps is probably grounding out into the other. For power, your drawing to much.
