So my key fob up and died the other day out of no where. Took it apart, tested the battery, had tons of power still but i replaced it anyways and yet the key fob still doesn't work.
Tried cleaning the key fob and all the connections... still nothing. So i figured maybe i gotta re program it to the car. Tried holding the lock + unlock buttons for 7 seconds near the car, no horn sound at all (maybe cause i have the DRL fuse pulled? only reason i say that is because when i would lock the car before with no DRL fuse i wouldn't get a horn beep after locking it, so maybe the DRL fuse has to be in?)
Anyways that didn't work so i figured id try pregoramming the key fob to the car by following the steps found on the board. Pulled Mall PGM fuse, turn key to acc, then off, then back to acc within 1 second, open drivers door and close and then this is when i hear a series of beeps. Car beeps once, then twice, then once, then twice, then once, and twice again, then no more beeps. So i then hold the lock + unlock on the key fob for 14 seconds and i hear no beeps at all and key fob still doesn't work.
Whats going on here? what am i doing wrong?
