Heres the story. I traded my old setup for 2 kicker 12" L7s. I get up their everything looks good so i take it. Upon removing my old subwoofer the ground wire for my amp got messed up so, being in a hurry, I did not test them and brought them home. When i took them out of their speaker box i discovered that the wire from the voice coil to the post was cut and electric taped together. So I took that apart and saudered them correctly. Now here is my problem. I have tried every possible wiring configuration and whenever i connect them they do not play correctly. As long as the head unit is on (there getting a signal), they play randomly and do not go to the music. Sort of sounds like its playing to a movie where there is random bass. How the **** can i fix this? Are they toast?

First try flipping the polarity on one of the subs.

Next, disconnect one sub and try flipping the polarity on one of the coils till the woofer moves much more one way than the other.

Disconneced the sub you just tested and do the same with the other. Then wire them both back up and listen, if they still arent loud, flip the polarity on one sub. If still not loud, check the signal they are getting and see if you can flip the polarity for your subs on your head unit to see if that helps at all.
