The locations with the large arrows indicate tabs that need to be removed. Only way to access this is by removing the bumper cover. The small arrow in the middle is the location of the piece that gave me issues earlier.

..in regards to not having to do more work for something simple then yea I'm wrong. So tell me again why one should remove the bumper and splash shield to get at the radiator hose. Hell nothings need to Come off honestly. Ta king off the fans make it easier but defiantly not even necessary.

As someone who has had the gxp dismantled more times than I can count I would love to seriously know your methods

Alright. Every time I researched changing the coolant on this vehicle, removal of the splash guard was said to be required. I could not reach the upper or lower rad hoses with anything, not even a 90 needle nose. So started removing the splash guard. In order to remove the splash guard completely you HAVE to remove the bumper cover. Its clearly indicated in the pictures I posted earlier.

I didn't need to remove my bumper to get the guard off but then again I have an 04 but not gxp. Can't imagine the bumper and all the front end stuff is that much more different.

Pretty sure when Reptile and I installed the transmission in my GXP, we removed the entire plastic splash shield guard sh1t without removing the bumper.

You may have, I have no idea how you would do that judging by the pin locations behind the bumper. Any insight to that photo i posted of the locations of said pins?

I have no idea either. Like I said from the only research I was able to pull up online this is all I could find on it. So I tried it. Gave me plenty of room not ideal but it worked.

Since needle nose pliers was mentioned... I think i know why more room was needed.

Get yourself a hose clamp tool and you'll be loving life the next time you touch a clamp on a car.

Never seen a hose clamp like that. How does it work, do you feed the other end of the wire back into the tool to create a loop?

the end of the tool are two clips that grip the stock spring clamp when you squeeze the handle .

I feel that if you searched YouTube for hose clamp tool, that you'd get a kick butt vid. I can't because of where I am.

You should make YouTube videos of when you do repairs or upgrades. I'd be up for watching those.
