Ok so I am ordering parts for my ls4 gxp tmr! I'm getting everything I list from overkill! The intake kit, the shift kit, and also the tune from overkill! And a transmission cooler from a different site! What I'm asking is how did you guys send your pcm and tcm to overkill? What did you use? Are they trusted?

I never sent back my old one. I decided to keep it just in case I ever wanted to switch back to stock.

I purchased mine from Will at overkill. Made a huge difference. I also kept the old ones since it's my daily driver. Acceleration and shifting definitely improved.

Took mine to local shop. Charged me 25.00 to re-program. Took 5 minutes only. I think the core was 150-175 at the time.

If I remember correctly advance or auto zone can do it. I drove mine for 2 weeks before having it done. Was only to re-learn crank position. Ran fine only check engine light.

Oh okay so it doesn't effect the engine or car at all? So your saying I should go the route where I have 2! The stock and the tuned? So oreileys or auto zone can fix the engine light?

They can in Florida I know. I am building my engine now and going to put the old ones back in so I can have it tuned on dyno. The problem with overkill is once he programs it he is the only one who can modify it. They are in Canada so can be a pain. I am going to sell mine cheap since I won't be able to use them with the new engine if your interested.

Looks like he is charging 175 plus shipping. I would sell them for 75 plus whatever shipping is. Saves 100

He said it gives a little more power by eliminating the extra drag.

That sucks. This is what mine had done.

    Features/Benefits:
Gains of 10-20 wheel horsepower anticipated on mild intake/exhaust setups
Tuning available for 87, 89 mid grade and 91/93 premium gas available
Stronger mid-range torque off the line and stronger 2nd gear acceleration
Torque management smartly revised to eliminate power limitation
YOU'LL LOVE AN OVERKILLED TRANSMISSION! Completely revised shift behaviour at part throttle, less bogging, 6000rpm 2-3 upshifts
Overkill exclusive Transmission fluid pressure management reduces fluid temperatures, reduces shuddering and slip/bump, improves life expectancy!
Displacement On Demand in 4th gear highway only, can be disabled on request for oil burning or exhaust sound issues
Improved MPG possible, more consistent MPG tank to tank
Revised cooling fan operation for stock thermostat, fans stay on at Key off for 1 minute as required (Reflash/HPTuner only)
    Speed limiter removal
A/C Compressor shutoff at heavy throttle to recapture lost horsepower (Reflash/HPTuner only)
    Reduced Traction Control intervention
P0420 removed for high flow cat converters
