So I hopped in my car tonight to run to the store and noticed that under boost the car shakes and bogs down. The dic shows that I'm getting boost and I'm not throwing any codes. Any insight would be appreciated!

I always run 93, I was sitting here thinking about it and it's only under hard accel. Maybe a cv shaft?

No.... it's not a CV. You pump your own fuel? some states don't allow it and you have to watch those people like a hawk to ensure they don't pump swill into the tank.

if it's not fuel.. it's either gonna be a bad coil pack, bad plug, plugged cat or bad wire. Let's start with the cheap stuff...how long have those wires and plugs been in there? Any vaccum things break lately?

So I just jumped in it and started it, idle is at 2000 rpms and when I hit the throttle it jumped up to 4000 until I shut the car off

Is the throttle sticking? Sounds like either that or a bad IAC, but honestly usually people think it's iac and misdiagnose

The throttle itself isn't sticking, I shut the car off and restarted it and it was still stuck at 4k. Actuated the throttle by hand under the hood restarted and now it's idling at 1500

The throttle is under the hood... it's not the pedal ...

Fire it up.. if it's running at 1500 and it's not ice cold..try to push the throttle closed ... I have seen the cable where it loops on the strut cause them to idle high if it ends up out of place.. and literally that means..it could have been just bumped or looked at funny.

Once you get idle under control...let's get back to that boost issue.

Ok the throttle cable was hung up, idle is back to normal. Now for the boost issue. I just drove it again and it shakes once I put a load on. As soon as it is light boost or none at all it goes away

Get a cheap as hell set of copper TR55 NGK plugs..gap them to .055 and see if the helps. the super fine tip of the irids can cause a hot spot and detonation. Also.. it's time to swap those out. What about the wires?... don't be worried about answering a few things at once... I'm not the kind of guy to drag crap out of people.. I can nearly read minds through the internet...........wait.. stop having those thoughts...that stuff ain't normal!!!!

crap..you did answer on wires.. did I mention I'm drinkin? No worries..I'm still better than most real mechanics on these cars... even if I were drunk.

Brand of wires?... look to see if they are touching any metal and have arching spots on them if they are...also.. ensure the #4 and #6 aren't touching the o2 wiring at all.

Damn you're good! I'll grab some plugs and wires tomorrow, everything is closed down for the night where I'm at. Any certain kind of wires you prefer?

first off... if you go advance auto.. think retailmenot.com and snag something like the $20 off orders over $50 or 30% off etc. Just because there's no need to overpay. Wires.. I kinda like AC Delco, or ... can't think of them..but they are lifetimes .. crap... had a set on the last Regal (#7) and a ..... wait.. Autolite professionals. Cheap.. and lifetime replacements. Gotta love that.

I try to stick to what's available and has the good warranty.. it's like the three year warranty on Moog wheel bearings. can't go wrong when you own a W body.

I was actually going to try to stack the 40 off 100 and use the 20% instantly! Not sure if it'll work but it's worth a shot
