Did you get it to start & keep running?

Got the MAF installed, no more CEL !! now on to wiring fans back up and flushing coolant system this weekend to see if I can stop the overheating issue
Ok, that was short lived.... CEL back on. And of course my buddy has my obd machine. It runs still, just noticed after about 4 days the light came back on.
Also i have a question on the overheating issue.... when i grab the upper raditor hose when the car is running it seems like the coolant is just spitting threw the hose not a constant flow, even when i press the throttle. It still barely spits threw. What could cause this lack of coolant? Also i can bleed air from the tstat housing after driving it, everytime it hisses for about 3-4 seconds, what's the reason of that ?

hows your rad cap? my hose was mush too after i did the engine swap, then i noticed if it quickly squeezed the upper hose coolant came out the hose to the over flow tank. ( and i caught it leaking too)
changed the cap to a locking stant and so far, so good.
Has a brand new cap, would a crappy water pump cause that?
low coolant can. when its cold, top it off then let it warm up cap off, if it burps and the level drops top it off again. once the fans come on you know the tstat is open, then bleed it.
seen a few water pump impellers rusted away, but that seems so rare.
There's no tstat in it, and i have all the coolant in it that it will take. Plus i have the overfill full also. I think i have a bad restriction or my water pump has failed. Or i may have a blown head gasket... water pump looks pretty new to me though.
put the t stat back in. why drive with out it? it regulates the engines temps.
rad cap off, rev the engine while watching inside the rad, you see bubbles when you let off the gas? if so thats a blown head gasket.
a water pump costs like 40 bucks, and takes less then a hr to change.
Can't put it back in, it will start overheating in about 2mins .
you try a new one yet? cause thats not right at all even if it is bad and locked up.
a t stat stays closed till the coolant in the engine reaches 195, then it opens up. then it will open for only a minute or less, once cooler coolant hits it it closes again.
so if it will over heat in 2 minutes of a cold start your cars got a real problem with life.
Ya, just went out and turned it on with cap off, then pulled the throttle a bit, and got some tiny bubbles like you spit in it. So my question is, does that mean head gasket or would the bubbles be bigger.
Nothing that intense, more like the bubbles in your piss after drinking a twelve pack lol. But definitely nothing like that.
Almost like a foam that comes to the top nothing that resembles a roiling boiling pot of water
are you running just water? cause that can help you over heat too. antifreeze boils at a higher temp then tap water.
maybe dump some prestone flush in there and drive it for a day or so to help clean the inside of the engine out.
No, unfortunately I'm still running dexcool, I'm gonna flush it tomorrow see what happens
