I have a 3.5 pulley on my ported and polished charger. Have aftermarket intake and full exhaust minus headers. 1998 gtp

My boost gauge only reads 5 pounds maximum. My question is if that is a normal number for a pulley of that size and charger set up. Thanks

Unplug the BBV solenoid and see what it reads on a WOT run, it will likely spike up much higher.

Stock psi is 6-7 if thats saying anything.

I'd worry about ping/knock without atleast a 3in downpipe on there.

Pulley size is a little small with no exhaust mods. Got an Aeroforce or something similar?

Yes coating is fine. The blower is off of my buddies 02 gtp. I ported it myself. I had the same readings before the new blower

maybe the bbv solenoid is bad? that lever move on it when you rev the engine in park?

Little to no knock. The bbv works and i tried running it with the bbs unhooked electrically and unhooked and plugged vacuum line. Did not see any difference

i think you took to much off. but im no pro at porting.

you had the same boost with the 3.5, or did you have the 3.8 before the port job?

have you sprayed carb cleaner at all the vac lines, the bbv the TB gasket, blower to lim, evap solenoid, map sensor? the t under the blower snout.

spray while the car is idling, if the idle jumps up when sprayed you found a leak area.

I recently did all the gaskets on the top of the engine and dont believe to have any vac leaks there. I will double check all my fittings and lines when i can.
