No its TECHNICALLY a buick engine. Do some research. Designed by buick in the mid sixties. I had an 81 olds with a 231 and an 86 olds with a 455. Almost identical in basic design. Key design/flaw is the oil system which is like no chevy engine ive ever seen. And its technically a gmcorporate engine if your wanting to play that card.
