i dont even have a oil pressure sensor, nor is one plugged in, no oil light comes up.

you sure its oil pressure and not the low oil sensor thats in the front of the oil pan? maybe that one got un plugged.

if it had no oil pressure it would be clapping from every rocker arm.

Just checked the sensor it is plugged in. Surprisingly, the rockers and lifters are all quiet, I haven't heard any loud clacking of them. The light that is on is the one of the oil dipper that has a drop coming out. The 'low oil' light is not on. Now, since I did change all my gaskets I wanna make sure this isn't a problem - I have been frequently checking the dipstick of my oil, and there is this light creme on it. I think it may be coolant, but I am not sure. Could is be assembly lubricant that has been 'washed away' by new oil on the camshaft?

take the sensor out, put a oil pressure test gauge in its hole, see what you get for oil pressure.

What assembly lube did you use?? And have you changed the oil since starting the car?

Also, a picture of said "creme" would be helpful. Though usually that is coolant mixed with oil.

Okay, I bought a mechanical oil pressure gauge that will be installed tomorrow. Do the oil systems on our cars need to be primed when doing something like a camshaft? I am assuming not.

The assembly lube, I am not exactly sure. It was a silvery-gray, and I believe it was graphite based..

As for the creme, I can't get a good high resolution photo of it. Will keep a close eye on it if it gets thicker.

Any ideas on the pop from the video? I haven't started it since, but my reader showed no misfires.

The system doesn't have to be primed what I do just to be safe is pull the fuse for the fuel pump that way the car won't start and when I do attempt to start it it'll cycle the oil. The popping does sound like it could be a misfire... Did you reuse the same plugs if anything I would spend the $10 and swap them out. Also make sure your injectors are pushed all the way in.

I did replace the plugs, they are Autolite 104s, new OEM wires as well. That's a good idea, I'll pull the fuse for the oil issue. I thought the injectors were secured, the o-rings appear to be in all the way. I will double check those as well.

Those o rings can be tricky assholes, they like to fall off and get wedged in the bung sideways.

What I do is take a rubber mallet and tap the fuel rails in a few different spots to make sure the injectors are all the way in

Quick question. Probably a silly one at that.. Could overfilling the motor with oil cause the motor to not build pressure? I know if the motor has too much oil in it, the crank will aerate the oil.

Yeah I lubed it up generously and did a twist in procedure very gently. I screwed the cam bolt in to get a better grip on it once it was almost in. I don't think anything is wrong with the bearings though, the engine runs pretty smoothly besides the pressure not building and the occasional misfire it seems.

Spun bearing would sound way worse then that I doubt that's the issue.

Check the wiring for what? Are you talking about for the oil pressure sender wiring?

That's definitely not an issue. The car wasn't on long enough to get the pipes hot. I did just jack it up and pull the passenger wheel off though and everything looks to be in tact.

You never know it won't hurt to go back over and make sure everything connected like it should be and that no wires are broken are burnt etc. you went through all the trouble of putting in a cam what's another 10 min to double check yourself.
