I'm not misinforming anyone just stating my experience with my car. If anyone asked I'd tell them exactly why I knocked that time off my 0-100 and how they could possibly do the same with theirs.

Yeah...but if no one asks, people expect to see 4 second gains from headers, due to your post.

i'm a noob. i have 3.4 and no headers. i have an intake, a downpipe, a zzp 1.0 pcm and al 104s. i use 93 octane. i scanned for knock and was shown i had none. it was not an aeroforce, it was the torque app. before i put the plugs in the car would kind of bog down if you wot when you were already moving. from a standstill it was fine. so i changed the plugs and it made a world of difference. i'm using plain ole duralast plug wires. if i have knock or retard i don't feel it at all.

maybe you should try colder plugs. it seemed to be the difference in my setup.

i do have a question about the psi, though. i'm don't understand how dropping psi on boost when putting on headers helps. i thought you wanted higher psi????? if the psi goes down then aren't you back to square one, then?

It wasnt the headers that dropped him 4 seconds it was getting rid of the stock cat that was clogged.
you cant say headers dropped you 4 seconds when you have a part that was clogging the system, if the car was stock with no clogged cat what would your increase be then when you put headers on?

No one should expect that it's just ridiculous to believe anyone can get 4 seconds faster 0-100 with any one bolt on.

Yet not ONCE in all of your (unproven) posts have you ever once given even the slightest hint of any kind of evidance or proof supporting your claim. And you know what fluid dynamics was you good sir would not be making such an ass of yourself.

    That's tough to read.

Lol monicaaaa!!! Gotta love the fast n furious ten second headered cars on here... anyway op sorry I didn't see that you already posted your mods. Are you 100% sure its true knock? I saw you put it only happens on the shifts so perhaps there could be a chance of something hitting somewhere? Keep in mind that cold temps amplify knock possibilities. What spark plugs and thermostat are you running, as these too can have an effect.

It is a little misinforming when the average grand prix runs 14.8 give or take... and your 0 to 100 drops 4 seconds. In that theory a stock car should run at least a 12... but not the case. Whatsoever... headers aren't the be all end all if you know what your doing.

This is sad. Are you guys going to argue for days about this like children? There is a simple answer. Get it tuned. Also if you want to check for false kr take your sc belt off and see what happens.

Headers are a great mod. I needed headers and modded 1.9's just to run a 3.4 on my gtp.
