Funny thing here..when you stuff the pedal to the floor....you no longer have vacuum at the LIM... you have positive pressure.

When I had a vac leak, it would still make boost...but it would flutter from barely any to 5~ psi. That was on a 3.5".
My leak was the multiple line fitting to the TB was cracked and would only show under pressure.
dealer, or make your own using a plastic t and short pieces of rubber hose.
Probably be wiser to call her...tell her which part you need and pick it up once it comes in.
Work smarter, not harder.
Brew.
They don't have any so I went to napa and got some tees and rubber hose and made some vac tees, so now I have gotten that all fixed it runs good when the tranny is not engaged, idk I am starting to think that my tranny might be slipping
Go do a pan drop and a filter change then.
Let me try to explain this a little better. If I'm driving down the road at 30 mph and floor it the boost will max and hit the rev limiter but the car will not accelerate. It will not up shift untill I let off the gas. When driving normal, the car will shift fine. The only time it acts this way is under full boost.
if the engine is hitting full rpm, cleanly, not breaking up, till it hits the rev limiter, and wont shift till you let off the gas, you lost that gear pretty much. you may feel some shudder to the wheels when its slipping.
sounds like its time for another trans. a quart of lucas may keep you limping along for a while, but probably wont be a magic cure.
Well I need to start looking now ill have to go get some lucas and maybe ill start looking on craigslist for a used one for right now money is really tight but thanks alot for the info and the (good news) haha
ive been in your shoes as well, i lost 3 rd gear, found a used one. it sucks but, well, what can ya do? its the weak link in these cars.
i was also told what i didn't want to hear. sorry to be the one......
Yeah, do another pan drop and filter change....maybe try a shift kit in there even though it probably won't help.
You can get a custom tune and crank down the shift times and up the line pressure to try and band-aid it.
When you fill it up though try using a whole bottle of the stop slip...if its on its way out...it can't really do much else but help it. Also, stop beating on it, LOL.
