True it does not have the looks of a Wizaired or a cold air inductions box but, you have a very large opening inside of the stock air box which should provide equal performance.

Unless posters are scanning and giving you numbers you are going to get allot of inferences and opinions about this rather then some actual evidence.

That being said my opinion is that the stock air box would heat soak allot easier and faster then would a Wizaired and a Cold air inductions box. The plastic is more dense then the insulation on the later two and therefore wouldn't transfer heat to the environment as easily. Also [if your taking off the part i'm thinking of], you would get allot of heat from the engine compartment thus effectively making your CAI a HAI.
