If there is that much play when you rev the motor...maybe your lower mounts are epically ****ed and need replaced.
Flip the upper dog bone mounts, get a solid motor and trans mount.
Then try again.

I am sure your right about the lower mounts
I use copper rtv. I don't have leaks any longer. Cover the joint in copper and cover it with the band clamp. Ghetto I know
Jealous though...I love the regal
thanks mcnulty.. i have used copper rtv previously but it didnt help much. i think the exhaust was impro
erly installed from the start. this summer i plan on removing it completely and replacing the flex pipe and then properly reinstalling it. i was just wondering what the other paste you guys were referring to is called.
You used band clamps on all four slip joints?
i found oddly enough, that my biggest leak was on the rear clamp before the resonator. i pulled the clamp off and put the band clamp on and, no more leaks! i figured by the setup of the exhaust that joint would have been the only one to seal with the provided clamps. i was wrong.
thats interesting. i thought that would have been one of the tightest seals. i guess every car really is different. im just gonna take mine to a reputable exhaust shop and have them weld in my double walled flex and run a new setup.
btw, sorry to threadjack o.p.
which letter exhaust bolts do i order from zzp for the headers. or would i be able to get the same thing at napa? what about those bolts that intense sells for 49.99 that have the attachment that prevents backout from vibrations?
I would pull that back clamp of and see if there is any carbon on it
