I was disappointed when I only dyno'd 245whp after headers, full size ic & 3.4
Hell, I'll probably still be disappointed next time I dyno.

Your numbers are good. Don't worry about it, its still a fwd car.

Your fueling should give you a very good idea what sort of power levels you're at.

I'm at ~240-250 WHP estimated based on fueling after the same mods on an L36 bottom end.

Do any of you guys know 100% what bottom end they were using?

If no, then how can you draw any conclusions as to weather or not forged is required.

to make a claim that it is required or not shows how ignorant you are to the builds of other people in this platform.

Thanks for assuming everything instead of doing some research to back up your claims.

As i've shown, forged internals are so completely beyond the budget of most W body owners thus it is something that should have significant proof of value if you are EVER going to recommend it.

Thanks again for wasting this thread with baseless claims guys.

i just got home from jannety racing in waterbury wheree i had the car dynod. well stock is 240hp 280tq and even after all my mods it only made 241hp and 290tq! is there something really wrong with my car? im rly worried i figured it would have over 300 with the mods and the kid who tuned it kept telling me its going to make good numbers and ill be happy, but im not how does all those mods only get me 1hp and 10tq is the tune wrong or there something really wrong with my car???
ok so i went a head and got rockers from zzp! the 1.9 ratio or something. i went back to the same dyno to see what power i have because someone said i should pick up 20-30hp and i only gained 6 and NO tq!!!! im so mad! those things were such a pain in the ass to put in and for 300 bucks i coulda done something way cooler, DONT GET ROCKERS!!!!

You need to tune to take advantage of all and any modifications.
Even though the flow gain is minimal with 1.9 rockers, I bet your MAF needs to be re-calibrated.
Modifying cars is not like piecing lego's together, and expecting to be done with it.

But, I do agree with you. Don't get rockers, get a cam.

He has a GTP so higher compression wouldnt work well for him has im sure he wants a reliable car.

Plenty people run high compression cars with zero mechanical reliability issues.

To answer the 6 HP question, you need a proper tune.

Also, have pictures of the graphs?

I ask because peak numbers are rather useless.

Its the shape of the plots that matter.

It's all in the tune...not having a properly tuned high compression car WILL grenade it. No doubt. I've seen plenty of high compression cars that run GREAT.
