I found this on the net last night. The use it on the cars is aussi. I talked to the owner of the company and the motor is pretty much the same as ours. its a 3.8L supercharged V6 with a eaton m90. But its rear wheel drive. But I dont see why it couldnt work on the front wheel drive cars. someone could fab up the piping and get a intercooler some where. But this thing is sweet as hell and looks awsome. Or maybe someone thats handy with making things could make one. I think these things would sell fast and would give the coll lokk of a front mount intercooler.

    any and all comments?

why wouldnt it work? they use a m90 on that car and they run a small pulley just like having the qater to air. but you hont have to mount a pump and worry about it going out on ya. I like the w2a intercooler. But I think this would be something different.

You'd have to relocate the coil packs and figure out some way to get some pipe behind the throttle body for the coldside that would fit under the hood and keep away from heat as much as possible. THere isn't a whole lot of room to run the piping on FWD cars or w-bodys. The ford thunderbirds came with Air/Air intercoolers but they are also RWD. A meth kit would be a great addition to one of these setups, as you would be able to put the nozzle in a better spot to atomize.

That's been around for over 2 years. That setup when it came out wasn't all that impressive. I for one will be sticking with a water to air setup. The only real benefit of an air to air setup is no chance for a intercooler pump to go out.

For faster track times a water to air setup is best as you can have an icebox.

Ok gotcha guys. I guess I'm just two steps behind everyone here. I would like to have the air to water. I just hink the air to air is cool lokking and routing the pipes would be a pain.

i dont know a whole lot about air to air intercoolers but wouldnt the power gain be less? seems like it would be a lot of work to install this for the gains you would get with it.

did you ask them if they figured out their weird MAF and lag issues too? ive looked into these enough to know that youre better off with water to air. with an A2A you won't be able to drop temps as much.

No i didnt I ask them about that. A guy showed me a email on a diff forum from them and they said there isnt much lag cuz there is always air in the tubes. But Ikd its just something different and looks cool. I do want a water to air. But idk if it will help me out at all? I have all the mods in my sig. But dont have the throttle body anymore. heard it dont do much unless you run way small pulley. But would adding a intercooler add any performance for me? what do you guys think? But if I do get a intercooler I would go with a 3.25 pulley. But can the stock tranny hold up to it?

an intercooler would probably put you in the 3.0 pulley area with headers and rockers unless you wanted to run a lot of timing.

    the transmission? who knows.

I just want it to help keep the temps down. With the intercooler the smallest pulley would be a 3.25 or maybe 3.3 has anyone done that with alil bigger pulley and run alot of timing? isnt that better then a smaller pulley? is there a diff way to run a 3.3 pulley without a intercooler with no knock

With the mods you have...and a re-tune with bigger injectors...I don't see why a 3.0" would be out of the question.

You could have 400+ WHP from a turbo...honestly if you just drove it and went WOT every once in a while it would be fine...its the burnouts and one wheel peels and crazy 3-1 downshifts that kill it...and going WOT into 4th at like 130+mph. And injectors? The next step up...42.5'ers from a Lightning/Cobra...called Green Tops. And yes...with a tune and those injectors...3.0"

I dont do burnout in it and I try not to peel out. I could use those and run that small. I dont think I would go that small though. mid to low 13s is where I want the car to be.

I've heard from PRJ that the green tops are typically around 38's, not 42.5's.
