also a tb spacer whats the point? are they expensive? when can i get 1 at? hard to install ?? thanks guys
The point of it is to 'cool' the air coming out of your supercharger which is obviously hot as hell. Which kills your KR, a full size IC allows you to make a drop down to a 3.1 pulley or smaller if you have injectors that can flow enough fuel.
It's not 'hard' to install in my opinion. Just a little time consuming, and can you get one without hurting your pocket book? No.
Throttle body spacer, worthless. You don't need anymore info than that.
beat me to it.
you can get an intercooler setup for around $600-800 used in the classifieds. i bought an short stack intercooler, all the tubing, and a radiator for $400 to my door. Then i bought a used pump and a used set of modded fuel rails. good to go. just need to put it on.
welll damn it lol
If you plan on going IC, do the Full Sized for sure, you won't regret it. You can find used ones here and there.
no i just want to get a smaller pulley haha bio tells me it sounds way better the "whine" the smaller pulley you get
Better yet, don't even drop a pulley if your doing it for sound. x_x
wolf i want the sound and i want the acceleration
what supporting mods do i need i have the intake already and getting colder msd stuff soon maybe.
ding ding were getting warmer
exhaust. ported stock manifolds and a downpipe or headers along with a tune.
thats just for a 3.4. past that will need even more mods. but before you even put a pulley on. SCAN!! then scan agian once you get the pulley on
i hear ya i wanted to get a 3.25 i think what mods do i need for her to be safe?? reprogrammed pcm bigger downpipe u bend delte and ressy delete colder plugs and coils 180 t stat anything else? a 3.25 WILL greatly improve my time at the track correct?
Hahaha...........haha.....ha....... no. Easiest way to get that 3.2 is to add a SSIC to that line up of mods you got there.
But then.... you might as well get a full size IC, but then..... you might as well get bigger injectors so that you can get the full potential out of it by dropping more pulleys.... and then.... you might as well upgrade the tranny becuase you broke it. Pretty much how I ended up with what I have so far.
i would go with headers on the 3.25. you might also want to think about rockers for long term safty. the safest way would be intercooler. and yes a 3.25 would greatly lower your times at the track. should give you around 10-12 pounds of boost and put you in the mid 13's
you are also pretty close to maxing out your injectors then also. and will problew need higher flowing ones.
man this sounds pricey haha how much for all this in a safe setup to run a 3.4 pulley then how much to run the 3.25 pulley haha =] just a quote haha
