im just telling you, these cars become money pits very quickly if you dont limit yourself.

youll figure it out when youre trying to sell your heavily modded turbo grand prix with every part imaginable for $20k and everyone keeps laughing at you.

i don't know, i would have to agree with Bio on this one. if you only have a little money then i don't think the cost is worth the gain with modding our cars as in you won't be able to tell the difference that much. i'm sure i'll get a lot of flack for saying that but it is just my opinion.

ebay headers 200$. intake (cone filter on the maf) 40$. 1.9 or 1.8rr 200$~ press on pulley 40$~ tune 100$~

you aint gotta get it all at once. i rocked intake, headers, rockers for close to a year. i was pretty happy with it compared to stock. now i got a 3.5 on and im doing tuning. now i even happier. but it wont stop there.

all cars are money pits. once you do something, you want to do more. its no more expensive to do our cars then other cars.

im pretty happy with my 3.5 set up. it feels twice as fast as stock. and you could probably get to that set up for 600$~ used parts are your friend.

at the same time you need to do maintence to tho.

but like said, it aint all gotta be done at once. work your way into it.

I'm curious where I could find some $200 rockers and springs to boot. Please point me in the right direction as that is my next mod. Thanks and sorry for hijacking.

point the way. I would halfway consider some cheap roller rockers, as long as i get a small enough ratio that i don't need new springs... crap what am i thinking, i need new tires soon

Only issue is with anything bigger than a 1.84 if your shifting over 6K your going to need springs...PERIOD. No ifs, ands, or buts about it...unless you want valve float. Get some 1.84:1 Roller Rockers...after your headers Dakota(h) lol can't remember how to spell it...anywho...let it breathe better before moving more air...after headers, rockers, CAI...you'll be ready for a 3.6 most likely.

no "h" spelled like the state... or the indian tribe i prefer. Anyway, i did see the F/S thread but as stated i want 1.84 or smaller so that i can run the stock springs. Even those new cost 300 bucks which is why i will be waiting a while on them.
